森林
"森林"是一个由三合板做成的空间隔断，一个由树的形态联想到的屏风。树是能为人制造出大空间的一个好友：我们能在里面玩着迷藏，能靠着它休息，能把衣服挂在树杈上。设计师用一整片三合板产生了两个方向上的波浪状弯曲产生树的意相。当人们在其包围的空间中时，我们可以想象头顶上有着树杈美丽的影子。当多个屏风组合在一起时，就形成了一片小小的森林空间。
作品的手工制作过程非常具有挑战性。首先是两块三合板在一个给“身体”的大模子上粘胶成型。接着为了产生“树枝”和“树根”的波浪状弯曲，再用十个小模子正反模成型。
The Forest
The Forest is a plywood separator of space, a folding screen which is inspired by the form of the tree. The tree is a big friend with a big space. We can play hide-and-seek with it, we can repose ourselves under it, we can hang our cloths on its branches. A plaque of plywood is undulated in two ways. When we are in it, we can imagine the beautiful shadows of branches. When several folding screens are combined together, they become a little forest.
The manufacture of prototype is very challenging. Firstly two piece of plywood are molded on a mold for the body
. Then for the ondulations for the branches and the roots, the plywood are moulded and against-molded with ten little moulds.
La Forêt
La Forêt est un séperateur d’espace en contreplaqué, un paravent qui est inspiré par la forme de l’arbre. L’arbre est un grand ami avec un grand espace. On peut y jouer à cache-cache, on peut s’ y reposer, on peut accrocher ses vêtements sur les branches. Une plaque de contreplaqué est ondulé dans deux sens. Quand on est dedans, on peut imaginer qu’on est sous un arbre avec de belles ombres. On peut aussi créer une petite forêt avec plusieurs pièces.
La fabrication à la main est un grand challenge. Deux plaques de contreplaqué sont moulés sur un grand moule pour le corps. Pour créer les ondulations des branches et des racines, les plaques sont moulé et contre-moulé par dix petits moules.
